Palm Beach Villa

For our clients, this 15-year-old Mediterranean Revival house in Palm Beach ticked all of the right boxes but one — it was lacking a sense of history. To inject a sense of playful gravitas into the interiors, we turned to the past, with the perspective of the present.

In the living room, an unexpected palette of acid green, chocolate brown, and ivory — inspired by the view through the monumental French doors — is a surprisingly neutral backdrop for our client’s collection of striking contemporary art.

18th-century Italian antiques—a subtle nod to the local vernacular—French Regency pieces and 19th-century English were given new life with a mix of 21st-century designs and custom creations. The sisal rug in the dining room was custom-painted in a bold pattern based on a classic Serge Roche design and adds a certain Palm Beach flair to the Venetian plaster walls and antique furnishings.

A custom-printed wall covering and whimsical pieces in the guest house evoke the intricate tilework found in Morocco and make it the perfect escape for movie nights.
